"I'll Be... Your King" The noise of the announcer on the portable stage spouted off in the background. Keith hardly paid any attention to their class president, or council, or whomever was speaking through the microphone. It initially caught his attention at first, promptly disrupting him from his beautiful crush that he held in his arms. However, he quickly averted his gaze away from the speech given over the speakers in the cafeteria. It managed to quiet the entire audience, as they forwarded their thanks to those who made this prom night possible. Although Keith was not going to be swayed into silence. The taller male shifted his focus back to his gingered angel that was still trapped in his arms. He refused to let go of that connection. Especially now. The knowledge of his most hidden secret that he kept away from the blue boy wedged an arrow through his heart. It stung, now knowing that his all-time crush had always felt this way about him and didn't say anything. Yet, he knew

"Fallen Angel" Cherry tapped her foot mindlessly against the hard tiled flooring of the dimmed cafeteria quietly. The light sounds of her high heels making small clicks against the hard floor, as she silently seethed where she stood. Arms folded under her breast, she engaged in seldom conversations with her other friends and Darnell by her side. However, when no one was looking, she absentmindedly worried. Her sapphire gaze would dart over to the entrance whenever someone would come through, hoping for it to be her Ex with his date. Not a single lick of that neon blue hair was spotted. Not even those unmistakable white eyes of the smaller ginger came in. She expected to see Keith come in through those doors first at the very least, having a small feeling that the orange-haired male would have felt too nervous. She was ready to pounce at the chance if she ever saw a single hair of cyan waltz through that door alone. It better have been accompanied by its orange counterpart, or Keith

"Beautiful Little Talks" Keith grit his teeth tightly in frustration. Knuckles white as his grip on the steering wheel was murderous. He was surprised the hard leather didn't twist or bend to his will at how much anger flowed through his hold. He was lucky that he parked the car already. It took everything in his power to keep from turning around and heading home. Not before giving a call over to his Ex to argue with her. Darnell was somewhat innocent, and out of the range of his fury for now. Although, he was not completely out of the woods yet, as it was his fault that he didn't spill the news beforehand. Irritated emeralds locked onto the middle of his steering wheel, keeping himself quiet as his best friend of a decade finished his explanation that he promised. “And that's why Cherry is at his house.” The tallest male in the vehicle finished softly. He could feel the tension in the car escalate quickly as he gave his excuses for the reason why his Ex was over at the orange

"Prophetic Preparation" “How do I look?” Darnell turned his attention away from the mirror in the upstairs bathroom. Managing to comb back his hair neatly, before moving his chocolate gaze over to his best friend of over a decade standing out in the hall. Keith stood in front of the dark-haired boy, standing tall and proud in a suit and tie. It was the same one he wore the previous year. A growth spurt occurred from his tenth to eleventh year that caused his previous outfit to be too small on him. Luckily, he seemed to stop growing from then on. He was tired of having to get new clothes all of the time, especially since suits were rather expensive. The blue boy stood with his hands gripping the lapels of the black suit that he wore. It fit him nicely, as it was all adorned with a bright blue tie that was tucked inside of the button up jacket he wore. A white dress shirt underneath, visible only from his wrists and tie that was around the collar area. Silver cufflinks secured his

"May 2nd" The sun shone brightly on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The storm from the previous days cleared away as the clouds dispersed to an open sky and warm weather. Pico kept his stride quick, a pale and tired gaze locked onto the sidewalk. His usual pattern of traveling a memorized path at this time every week. Abnormally, the ginger raised a hand to rub at a tired eye, stifling a yawn as he slowed his pace slightly. He didn't get a wink of sleep the previous night at all. Ever since he mentioned a heartfelt “goodnight” to his aqua-haired crush, he couldn't get any rest. He would get an hour or two at the very least, and that would hold him over until the next night. However, his anxiety prevented him from actually getting any sleep. Pico was extraordinarily nervous about today. Keith seemed to be really excited during their walk from school the previous day. The taller male would boast about how 'amazing' he would look with earrings, and that forced a embarrassing flush

"April 30th" Bodies littered the classroom. His friends, classmates, and teacher all littered with bloody bullets. Pico was shoved by that unmistakable shadowed figure onto the ground, face first. He hardly had a moment to turn back around to see what hit him before a shot was heard. His entire body shifted to his left, a strong and stinging pain ripped through his shoulder. A scream managed to escape his hyperventilating lungs, as he could feel blood begin to pool under his body. Face down, Pico tried to pull himself to his knees as best as he could, his vision starting to blur from either the tears or pain, he was unsure. The bodies in his line of sight seemed to warp, as he collapsed. His right hand gripped onto his gaping wound in his shoulder, feeling the tingling warmth begin to spread to the rest of his body. He was bleeding to death. Managing to take in a stuttering breath, Pico pulled his hand back to see it completely covered in the metallic red liquid that drained

"April 25th" Pico held the gift he made for Keith up towards the ceiling at an angle. The white of the paint and the light making it easier to see the design carved out. He finished this gift for the blue-haired man about two days ago and was pretty proud of the creation. Pico was freaking out on what to get for the taller man for his birthday for weeks prior. He didn't have any money or means to earn any. His parents weren't that generous, and he didn't have much to offer when it came to creating something. He was pacing his room, tormented by the voices and shadows that curled into his sight and ears. He looked towards the box of records that he always kept in the corner next to his player on a little table. They were all used, of course, by himself. All of his records were precious to him, bought by either himself or grandparents that came over for the holidays. They were gone, now, sadly. Deceased. These records are all he has left of what he holds precious to him. They were

"April 24th" Today was the Keith's birthday. Best of all, it was a Friday. His party was planned for that following day, Saturday. Under normal circumstances, that would be his and Pico's usual day to hang out and do whatever they wanted. However, this week was going to be different. He set his party for Saturday, and invited his two good friends, Darnell and Cherry and, of course, the final person that would bring light to his special day, Pico. Since that night of February 14th, during their sleepover, Keith had an epiphany about the redheaded ginger. Those feelings he was experiencing from throughout their friendship had manifested into something greater. It started out so small. He didn't even realize it at first. A pulling sensation told him to talk to the quiet male. He was always sitting by himself but took the plunge when he managed to catch him alone in the library. That is when it began. The moment they shook hands in greeting, it all came tumbling down from there. The

"Leaping Onward" Day rolled into night at the Fairest residence. Both Pico and Keith ended up retiring their game of 'Stardew Valley' after a few more hours. The blue boy knew he had to be more cautious. His initial problem from before was still relatively fresh in his mind. He couldn't believe that he had reacted in such a way. He even made the other male feel inadequate and was even insecure about how he was feeling towards the other. Luckily, he managed to right that wrong immediately. Keith was not angry at all with Pico. Quite the contrary, in fact. A deep feeling was emerging in his heart that couldn't understand. It was similar to when he first asked Cherry out to be his girlfriend, but this was so much more severe. The feeling was much more immense than he has ever experienced. He tried to brush it off as well as he could. The longer he has known the ginger, the harder it is to ignore. This feeling was becoming stronger over their time together. It is a scary feeling, but

"Stumbling Ahead" Friday was finally here. Keith went to school like any other day. Even though he and Pico walked home from school, Keith still took the bus in the morning. He had asked if the ginger would like to take the bus to school one day, and he promptly refused during one of their late-night texts. The blue boy tried to turn it around and ask if he could join Pico on their early morning walks to school instead. Once again, he denied him. The weather was getting colder, and snow was already present on the ground. Keith expressed his concern, just as before to help convince him to change his mind. Pico merely stated that he didn't want to have him wake up too early since the walk was about forty minutes from their homes. To prevent the other male from getting upset, he simply accepted it and moved on. He was happy with walking from school and was willing to do the same in the morning too. Maybe, when it got warmer, he would be able to ask again. He would use the nicer
